Information for Students
How do I find my internship?
Students can find internship opportunities by visiting websites of companies
and organizations or through individual contacts in their area of interest. Your
starting point should be the Center for Career Development. You can also email Mr. Alexander Wyatt, Assistant Director of Gateway, to set up an
individual appointment to discuss what options may be available through our Gateway
Will Gateway place me in an internship?
Gateway is not an internship placement service; we provide the tools for you to take the best advantage of your internship opportunities. We also have hundreds of alumni and community partners who exclusively recruit from social sciences. These opportunities are posted on the Center for Career Development job portal, Handshake, and advertised through the School of Social Sciences listserv. If you are not on the listserv, and would like to submit a join request, email us.
How to do I apply for course credit?
Course credit will no longer be available for internships outside of the pre-approved professional practica during the academic year. Contact Mr. Alexander Wyatt, Assistant Director of Gateway, with any questions at email@example.com.
*International students may participate with approval from the Office of International Students & Scholars for Curricular Practical Training (CPT).
